Valley Soccer Club’s 8th-Grade U-14 Boys’ Team Takes Tourney Title


The Valley Soccer Club’s 8th-grade U-14 boys’ indoor soccer team recently defeated Norwich to win the Southeast Connecticut Junior Soccer Association Indoor Soccer championship. On April 8, the Valley Soccer Club’s 8th-grade U-14 boys’ indoor soccer team played five games at Wide World of Indoor Sports in Montville to secure the Southeast Connecticut Junior Soccer Association Indoor Soccer championship. Valley defeated East Lyme 2-1, tied Norwich 0-0, earned a 2-2 tie versus Colchester 2-2, beat East Lyme by a 4-3 final after winning 3-2 on penalty kicks in the semifinals, and then Norwich 3-0 in the championship game.

The athletes who guided Valley to the title were Jackson Bisson, Michael Brooks, Adam Carroll, Aidan Fleming, Sam Helsel, Tate Ingham, Alex Pinkowish, Cameron Ruel, Ryan Shea, Andrew Sherman.
