The Easties’ softball squad took two recent defeats, but then rebounded with a big 7-4 victory over Amity in last week’s action. The win versus the Spartans moved East Haven to 2-3 overall through the first quarter of the regular season.

The next day, Cheshire claimed a 5-3 win in East Haven. Mauro had two hits and Speers had two RBI for the Easties, who left the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh with a chance to either win or tie the game.

On April 13, East Haven completed its week by defeating Amity by a 7-4 final in Woodbridge. SanGiovanni, Jess Stettinger, and Speers all hit home runs for Head Coach Ed Crisafi’s club. Selena Mauro pitched well to earn the victory on the hill.
