Both Guilford Lacrosse Teams Pick Up Wins; Softball Shuts Out Branford

Boys’ Lacrosse

The Guilford boys’ lacrosse team had just one game last week with a road contest at Newtown on April 13. The Indians emerged with a 15-9 victory to improve to 2-2 on the campaign.

Girls’ Lacrosse

The Indians locked up against three opponents by facing two SCC adversaries and a non-conference foe in last week’s action. Guilford lost two of the three to hold a record of 1-3 for the year.

First up, Guilford defeated Sheehan by a 14-9 final on April 10. The Indians then took a 14-11 loss to Lauralton Hall the next day, followed by a 17-4 defeat against Conard on April 13.

Softball

The Indians split a pair of recent SCC contests to stand with mark of 2-1 on the spring season.

First, the Indians took a 7-5 loss to Hand on April 11. Guilford then rebounded resoundingly with a 13-0 shutout of Branford on April 12.

Boys’ Tennis

The Indians began their week in strong fashion by posting a 7-0 sweep of West Haven on April 10. Four days later, they hosted Branford and prevailed 7-0 to improve to 3-1 on the year.
