The North Haven High School Athletic Department is excited to announce the appointment of Mr. Reid Chieffo as the new head coach for the boys’ varsity soccer team. Mr. Chieffo returns to his roots as he is a graduate of North Haven High School and a former member of the varsity soccer team, as well as a captain in his senior year. After high school, he received a full soccer scholarship to continue his education at the University of Hartford, where he was a four-year starter and senior captain. In addition to his success on the field as a player, Coach Chieffo has spent the last 20-plus years serving the North Haven Soccer Club in many different coaching capacities, including clinician, head coach, and Director of Coaching. Coach Chieffo has also coached at the Premier level with South Central Premier.

“Coach Chieffo brings a wealth of soccer knowledge and experience to our soccer program,” North Haven High School Athletic Director Steve Blumenthal said. “Coach Chieffo’s passion and enthusiasm for both the game of soccer and the town of North Haven is contagious. Our student-athletes will be in good hands and they are fortunate to have him as their head coach.”
