The Branford Youth Cheerleading program is seeking donations for sponsorship for the 2017 season in an effort to purchase new uniforms for its four teams that feature kids in grades 2 through 8. The program is hoping to raise $5,000 to purchase new uniforms for its approximately 60 participants. Sponsors will be recognized on the Branford Youth Cheerleading program’s Facebook page. Sponsors who donate $500 or more will be listed with a logo on a six-foot sign at the Branford High School football field and will also receive acknowledgment during halftime of the Hornets’ first home game. Checks can be made payable to ‘Branford Youth Cheerleading’ and mailed to Branford Youth Cheerleading, Attn: Judith Barron, President, at 17 Stonewall Lane, Branford CT, 06405. For info, contact Barron at all4bell@aol.com or Janice Despotakis at JNCT14@gmail.com.

The Branford Youth Cheer program also announced that it is holding registration for the 2017 season for those in grades 2 to 8 at the Branford Community House on 46 Church Street from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4 and Tuesday, May 2. The cost to register is $135 and must be paid in full at the registration. Uniforms from last season must be returned in order for participants to register this year. Cash or check will be accepted.
