Both HK Hoops Squads Drop Close Ones to Valley; Hockey Gets 7th Win

Boys’ Basketball

The Haddam-Killingworth boys’ basketball squad was on the floor for one game last week when the Cougars tipped off against Valley Regional on Feb. 7. The Cougars lost a 68-65 contest versus Valley and now stand with a record of 9-7 for the season.

Girls’ Basketball

The Cougars’ girls’ basketball squad took three defeats last week and is now 3-15 on the year. HK lost to Valley Regional 39-35 on Feb. 7, lost 57-35 against North Branford the next night, and finished the week by dropping a 51-32 decision versus Coginchaug on Feb. 11.

Ice Hockey

The Lyman Hall/HK/Coginchaug boys’ ice hockey team split a pair of games last week and now sports a mark of 7-8-1 this winter.

On Feb. 8, the Trojans took a 2-1 defeat to Amity. Three nights later, they bounced back by dispatching Tri-Town for their seventh victory on the campaign.
