HK Boys’ Hoops, Ice Hockey Split Two Matchups

Boys’ Basketball

The Cougars’ boys’ basketball squad took an 86-61 loss to Westbrook on Jan. 30, but then edged out Cromwell 55-54 on Feb. 2 to secure its ninth win of the season. Haddam-Killingworth improved its record to 9-6 with the victory versus Cromwell.

Girls’ Basketball

HK took a 56-36 defeat to Westbrook on Jan. 30. Then on Feb. 3, the Cougars lost a 55-31 contest against Ellington to move to 3-12 on the season.

Boys’ Ice Hockey

Lyman Hall/Haddam-Killingworth/Coginchaug downed Newtown by a 4-2 on Feb. 1. Scott Bradley had a hat trick in the win for the Trojans.

The Trojans then took a 4-0 loss to North Branford on Feb. 4. The team now owns a mark of 6-7 on the year.

Gymnastics

Haddam-Killingworth/Hale-Ray/Morgan had a meet at Flip-Flop Gymnastics in Deep River on Feb. 1. The team scored a 94.20 in the meet. Mercy scored a 135.5 and Valley Regional tallied a total of 118.55.
