Old Saybrook Little League Team Wins District 9 Fall Ball Title

The Old Saybrook Little League baseball team for boys aged 10 to 12 recently won the championship of the District 9 Fall Ball Tournament. It had been several years since Old Saybrook won a title and the team captured the crown by advancing through the double elimination tournament and then earning a 6-5 win versus Cromwell in the final. Harris Outdoors has sponsored the squad for the past three years.

Old Saybrook’s head coach was Steve Tolve, who was assisted by Bill Albert, Jay Albert, Phil Kibby, and John Stavola. The team’s players were Alby Albert, Auggie Albert, Sam Baldi, Alex Bartholomew, Carson Brown, Edward Devaney, Devin Harris, Logan Kibby, Ryan Lombardi, Quinn McRiley, Jason Pascale, Marlin Stavola, and Aaron Tolve.
