The Cougars dropped to 3-5 with a 33-0 loss at Pequot Conference opponent Gilbert-Northwestern on Nov. 5.

Alex Segaline caught five passes for 60 yards, plus he and Jon Grasso each had 10 tackles for HK. Jarrett Lemon recorded four tackles while playing special teams and defense.

“We came out flat and never really picked it up. Gilbert is a very solid and well-coached team and you can’t let a team like that get an early advantage,” said Head Coach Mike Baklik. “I challenged the kids to reverse today’s performance by increasing the intensity in practice this week and coming ready to play next Friday against Nonnewaug.”

The Cougars host Nonnewaug (1-6) on Friday, Nov. 11 at 6:30 p.m.
