The Old Saybrook boys’ soccer team was victorious in its regular season finale versus East Hampton on Senior Night on Oct. 24 and the 6-1 victory completed an undefeated regular season for the Rams, who went 14-0-2.

All the Rams’ seniors started the game following a short pregame ceremony. East Hampton struck first with an early goal, but was unable to keep up the pressure, and the Rams scored six unanswered to win 6-1. A few minutes after East Hampton opened the scoring, Anthony Karg and Aiden Reid each scored goals on headers within a minute of each other to give Old Saybrook the lead. Justin Phillips scored twice, while Ashton Reina and Austin Hilger each scored once later in the game. In goal, Jonah Nucci and Matt Barnes combined to make four saves for the Rams, who outshot East Hampton 28-9.

Old Saybrook will play Haddam-Killingworth in a Shoreline Conference semifinal game on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Should the Rams prevail, they’ll take on the victor of Morgan and Old Lyme for the crown at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4.
