Registration is now open for the eighth annual Vista Tour de Shore cycling event and fundraiser that takes place on Sunday, Oct. 16.

With five-mile, 25-mile, 40-mile, and 60-mile routes along the Connecticut shoreline, the Tour de Shore is open to cyclists of all levels, from seasoned veterans to those new to the sport. All routes start and end at the Westbrook Elks Lodge on 142 Seaside Ave. and travel along scenic byways, offering participants beautiful views of the shoreline during peak fall foliage. Cyclists can ride solo, start a team, or join a team. A post-ride party featuring food, raffle prizes, and entertainment will be held at the Westbrook Elks Lodge.

The Tour de Shore is an important fundraiser for Vista Life Innovations, a nationally accredited post-secondary program for individuals with disabilities. Funds raised at the Tour de Shore benefit the Vista Endowment Fund, a supporting organization that helps to ensure a vibrant and financially secure Vista exists well into the future. With 250 cyclists, last year’s Tour de Shore raised more than $85,000 for the Vista Endowment Fund.
