08/14/2016 12:00 AMThe Clinton Huskies 18-U AAU baseball team posted a regular season record of 17-5 and went into the East Shore Travel League Playoffs as the No. 1 seed. In the first round of the playoffs on Aug. 8 at Sage Park in Berlin, the Huskies defeated the No. 8 seeded Connecticut Owls 1-0. That victory propelled Clinton into the semifinals, which were also at Sage Park, where the Huskies lost to the No. 4 seed Connecticut Capitals 4-2 on Aug. 9. The Capitals went on to drop a 3-1 contest to the New England Knights in the championship game.
