On June 18, the Guilford White U-16 girls’ soccer team won the Connecticut Cup by earning a 5-1 victory versus Wethersfield in the championship games. Guilford White had previously defeated Bristol 2-0 and Guilford Green 1-0 to make the championship game. The team’s head coach was Tim Miller and he was assisted by Joe Guerra. The athletes who guided Guilford to the crown were Emma Bosenberg, Megan Cuneen, Michaela Gibbons, Jacqueline Guerra, Lena Guerritz, Lindsey Hiltz, Emma Limb, Devyn Luden, Ainsley Mackenzie, Claire Mackenzie, Deidre Hackett, Laura Markle, Catherine Miller, Gabriella Palumbo, Faren Roth, Chloe Shaw, Taylor Shutact, Jody Smith, Elissa Strand, and Charlotte Young.
