Madison’s Darosa Helps Stevenson Women’s Hockey Win League Title

Madison’s Caitlyn Darosa is one of the Stevenson University women’s ice hockey team players who helped the club claim a championship victory. Darosa and the Mustangs achieved that feat when they defeated Endicott in double overtime with a score of 2-1, leading them to become this year’s Colonial Hockey Conference champions.

Senior Sarah Modzelewski was chosen as the game’s MVP after she reached her season high of 44 saves, which is the second-most saves in program history, only behind her own of mark of 50. Seniors Modzelewski, Tori Emoff, and Jessie Capanelli, along with sophomore Chelsea Blackburn, were named to the All-Tournament Team. Capanelli and Blackburn scored the two goals in the game, while Emoff had three successful blocked shots.
