North Haven Wins Pat Mirto Senior Babe Ruth Championship

For the second time in three years, North Haven has won the Pat Mirto Senior Babe Ruth championship. Guided by Head coach John Villano and assistants Wayne Arnold and Gennaro Noce, North Haven used a mix of solid pitching and defense, plus some timely hitting to take the title with wins against New Haven (11-5) and Branford (2-0 and 6-5). North Haven was seeded fifth out of eight teams and did not lose a game in the final two weeks of the season. The team finished the campaign at 16-8.
