Hand Track Competes in Decathlon, Heptathlon, Steeplechase


Erin Naclerio competed in the 100 hurdles, high jump, and shot put for the State Heptathlon Championship on June 16 and 17 in New Britain.

Both Hand outdoor track squads were represented for the State Decathlon/Heptathlon event on June 16 and 17 at Willowbrook Park in New Britain.

On the girls’ side for the State Heptathlon Championship, Erin Naclerio finished 48th in the 100 hurdles (20.60) before tying for 53rd in the high jump (4-0.5) and then tossing to 61st for the shot put (17-8.25).

With the boys’ 2,000-meter steeplechase, Ryan Johnson was eighth (7:07.32) and Michael Healey took 32nd (7:38.89). Pat Niccolai finished 46th in this event (8:29.58). For the 3,000 variety, Adam Taylor paced to 27th (11:00.00).

For the boys in the Decathlon, Kyle Boling was 31st in the 100 (12.25) and 39th for the 400 (58.04). The high jump saw Boling come in tied for 37th (5-0.25) and tied for 17th with the long jump (18-8.5). For the shot put, he was 40th (29-3.75). Overall, Boling accumulated 2,441 points over the course of the two days to finish 35th.
