Morgan traveled to North Branford on Feb. 23 in the regular season finale for the Huskies before the Class S State Tournament and earned a 55-50 win to finish 11-9 on the campaign after playing to a 5-15 mark a year ago. Dylan Ketch had 14 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals; Mike Murray added 20 points, seven boards, and two steals; and Jake Teuner contributed with seven points, seven rebounds, and two blocks.

Morgan came out firing on all defensive cylinders en route to a 16-5 lead at the end of the first quarter. Some early foul trouble prevented Morgan from staying with same personnel or applying as much pressure on defense and North Branford responded by crawling back into the game. With some physical play and timely shooting, North Branford closed the lead to five at the half. The game went back and forth with Morgan hanging on for a five-point victory.

"I was a bit surprised at how physical tonight's game was. For the most part, we responded pretty well, but a few mental breakdowns almost did us in," said Head Coach Ken Beeman. "North Branford has been on quite a roll recently and we new this was going to be a battle, especially on their Senior Night. In the end, though, we did what we needed to do to come away with a win."

Prior to that on Feb. 17, the Huskies scored a Senior Night 62-36 victory over Cromwell. Ketch totaled 27 points, three boards, four assists, and two steals; Murray balanced it out with nine points and nine boards; and Chucky Kostek worked the basket for eight points.

On a night when Morgan recognized seniors Eric Peterson, Teuner, Evan Barillaro, and Alan Esposito, the game began with seniors starting the game and holding Cromwell scoreless for nearly three minutes. Upon putting in the normal starting five, the Huskies jumped all over the Panthers with great pressure and trapping in opening an 18-7 lead at the end of the first. It was more of the same in the second as Morgan headed into the half up 32-15. Cromwell never found any momentum and Morgan celebrated with an impressive victory.

"What a great way to send off our seniors. Cromwell has been a thorn in our sides for some time now," said Beeman. "They seem to always have our number so playing like we played and pulling off a victory really makes me happy for our boys."
