09/03/2014 12:00 AMThe 23rd Valley Shore YMCA Annual Golf Tournament was held on July 21 at the Clinton Country Club. With over 100 golfers enjoying the course, lunch, and dinner, the event raised $44,500 for the Strong Kids Campaign, which funds scholarships for local families and community health initiatives. Co-chairs for the event were David Brown, CVO from Brown & Knapp Group Benefit, and Leighton Lee of the Lee Company.
Along with its record attendance this year, the event also had an increase in event sponsors. Brown & Knapp, Whelen Engineering, McGladrey, Thompson & Peck, Guilford Savings Bank, Pat Munger Constructions, The Lee Company, Hightower Advisors, and East Commerce Solutions helped make this event a big success.
