MRSC Sees Great Turnout for Summer Challenge


The Madison Racquet and Swim Club's (MRSC) Level 6 Madison Summer Challenge Tournament for tennis that took place from July 15 to 17 enjoyed a record number of participants this year with 68 junior players from New England and as far as California and Dubai. Congratulations to MRSC's Josh Israel, finalist (boys' 12-year-olds); Jovanna Gaetano, finalist (girls' 12s); Lee Jiaen, winner and Emily Beck, finalist (girls' 14s); and Casey Burns, finalist (girls' 16s). MRSC players reaching the semifinals included Kyle Fay (boys' 16s), Noah Gulla (boys' 14s), and Samantha Riordan (girls' 12s).

Also participating from MRSC for boys' 18s were James Burris, Andrew Goldfeder, Collen Nelson, and Louis Rogers; boys' 16s participants Kyle Fay and Daniel Lyon; for the boys' 14s, Noah Gulla, Rob Israel and Alex Kagan; for the boys' 12s, Nick Celotto, Robbie Cozean, Gianni Esposito, Craigin Maloney, Darby Rogers and Reilly Vejar; for the girls' 18, Reilly Fitzgibbons, Ankita Roychoudhury, and Clara Wang; for the girls' 16s, Alicia Imbergamo; and for the girls' 12s, Annie Barrett, Anna Lang, Lindsay Riordan, Samantha Riordan, and Isabella Vejar.
