GHS Alum Ttomaselli Ends Great Softball Career at Mitchell College


Tricia Tomaselli, a 2010 Guilford High School graduate who also played for the Indians' softball team, pitched her final regular season game for Mitchell College on April 27. She is a four-year letter winner who played in 119 career games while making 78 appearances inside the circle. An NECC [New England Collegiate Conference] All-Conference Second Team selection in 2013 and All-Tournament Team selection in 2012, she leaves the Mitchell College softball program ranked among the school leaders in wins, appearances, starts, complete games, innings pitched, and strikeouts. She ended her career with totals of 26 wins, 389 innings pitched, 213 strikeouts, 46 complete games and five shutouts, and with her start against Wheelock College on April 27, she became the school's all-time leader in appearances. At the plate, she is a .286 career hitter with 56 hits, eight doubles, three triples, 26 RBIs, and 31 runs scored.

Tomaselli graduated from Mitchell College on May 17 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal and Professional Studies, Behavioral Sciences. She plans on attending the University of New Haven graduate program in education.
