Guilford Gymnast Booth Competes in Junior Olympics


Sadie Booth is a 12-year-old 7th-grader who attends Adams Middle School. On March 23, Booth competed in the Women's Junior Olympic State Level 8 championships and came in sixth place on bars, beam, and vault with scores of 9.05, 9.00, and 8.95, respectively. She finished ninth on a score of 9.05 on floor and her all-around score of 36.05 put her into seventh, which qualified her for the Women's Junior Olympic Regional Level 8 championships.

On April 27, Booth competed at Regionals in Woburn, Massachusetts. She had scores of 9.05 on bars, 9.15 on floor, 8.85 on vault, and 9.45 on beam; and her all-around score was 36.5. She came in first on beam in the 8-12-year-old division and is the beam champion out of all the girls in New England and New York. Booth is a member at Campbell's Gymnastics in Clinton and is coached by owner Earl Campbell. She has been doing gymnastics since the age of two and has been at Gym World/Campbell's since 2006.
