Guilford Resident a Part of Regional Irish Dance Crown

Seen here with their teachers, these young ladies earned first place at the New England Oireachtas, which was held in Providence, Rhode Island recently. They performed a four-hand ceili in the U-12 age bracket and earned a plaque for their proud teachers of Sheeaun Academy of Irish Dance. Pictured are teachers, Michelle Bonina and Frank Rupp, dancers Sophia Duhig of Stonington, Kathleen Tokar of Shelton, Annabella Milici of Fairfield, and Katie Hooker of Guilford, teacher and school founder, Moira Speer Warren, and teacher, Kathleen Devore. The dancers beat out over 30 New England competitor groups to win such an honor.
