Crew Opens Season with Strong Start

On April 24 at Lake Quonnipaug, the Guilford crew team won a trio of matchups in its season opener versus Middletown, which was coming off a strong win in Glastonbury.

In a 1,400-meter event with a strong tailwind and moderate chop, the first boys' race squad (with a time of 4:36.00) scored a one-second victory while the secondary team (4:47.00) paced by Middletown. For the girls' slate, the third wave (5:59.90) earned a victory.
