Branford Hornets' Gymnastics Concludes Campaign

The Branford gymnastics team completed its season by taking a 127.65-108.10 loss to Law, although the Hornets still had a fine meet that was highlighted by Cynthia Lerman tying for first on bars to place second in the all-around, along with a few other quality showings.

In addition to prevailing on bars, Lerman also finished third on beam and floor and was tied for third on vault with teammate Aaryne Antell, who was additionally fourth on beam. Also for Brian LeRoux's squad, Jenn Lassman came in fourth on vault, sixth on floor, and seventh on both bars and beam to take sixth place in the all-around. Jess Beler finished fifth on vault, tied for fifth in floor, and eighth on bars to come in eight place in the all-around.

"This was the last meet of the season and the team really came up with some good routines," said LeRoux, whose squad finished with four victories. "Aaryne came up with a well-deserved 8.00 on beam and Jessica stepped up with her routines and showed that dedicated athletes do accomplish much. Alongside Jessica, Jennifer Lassman worked just as hard and showed much improvement, and our latest addition is Chaylea Finn, who persevered through the season and competed in the floor routine that contributed to our overall score. The potential is there for this young team to do much better next year."
