02/06/2012 11:00 PMThe Branford gymnastics team faced one of the state's best in Hand and dropped a 122.90-66.80 decision, along with with a 110.80-66.80 defeat versus North Haven, although Brian LeRoux's squad still saw Cynthia Lerman finished second in the all-around with Jenn Lassman in third.
Lerman also took second on the vault, third on bars, fourth on floor, and sixth on beam for the Hornets; who also saw Lassman tie for fourth on vault, place seventh on floor, and eighth on bars and beam; along with Jess Beler tying for fourth on vault and finishing eighth on bars and ninth floor.
"The team performed well and we still have a lot to bring to the table," said Coach Brian LeRoux, whose team is 4-7 and will compete at the SCC Championship at Law at 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10. "With time, this team will be really tough competition."
