Local, By Way Of Australia

On a recent visit to Vermont, I got some cheese from Meredith Dairy at a local provisioner and fell in love with it. I figured it might be local to somewhere up there, but discovered upon reading the label it wasn’t from Vermont but from Meredith, Victoria, Australia. Darn, I thought. No way was I going to ship it in from Australia. But when back home I did a search to see if it was being sold anywhere nearby and found that Bishop’s Orchards Farm Market & Winery, 1355 Boston Post Road, Guilford, comes through again. Look for Meredith Dairy Marinated Sheep & Goat Cheese in their cheese case. It is spreadable and marinated in olive oil, garlic, and herbs, and is absolutely delicious.
