Hold on. There are many stories here, all seem to be about the same people and events. But which do we trust? Any of them? Is there some truth in each one, or none in any? All this sounds weird and like a challenge but no, it is grand, rich, and a surprise. I loved the author’s first novel, In the Distance. Trust is completely different but with the same wonderful writing and remarkable storytelling.
