In the first in-person class to be offered by NAMI Shoreline at the Guilford Community Center, 32 Church Street Guilford, in two years, the NAMI Family-to-Family Program will be offered starting Thursday, April 21 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The free, eight-session education program is geared toward family, partners, friends, and significant others of adults living with mental illness. The course is designed to help family members understand and support their loved ones living with mental illness, while maintaining their own wellbeing.

The course includes information on schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, and other mental health conditions. Thousands of families have benefited from the program.

The program is taught by trained teachers who are also family members and know what it is like to have a loved one living with mental illness.

Registration is required and can be done online at namict.org/find-support/family-to-family.
