Simey’s Shadow, a comedy in three acts, written by P.G. O’Dea and directed by Sandy Hanrahan, packed with hijinks and hilarity will be performed at the Irish American Community Center, 9 Venice Place, East Haven from Wednesday, Nov. 10 to Sunday, Nov. 14.

In the play set in 1950s Ireland, Andy and Tessie are fond of each other, but based on Andy’s mistaken belief that as a poor farmer he could never offer Tessie the kind of future he believes she deserves, he begins to evade her. This misunderstanding leads to shenanigans run rampant, lots of buffoonery and “a bit of camouflaged canoodlin.’”
