04/22/2021 12:01 AMIf you loved the grinders at Bennie’s Farm Market in Centerbrook, which is now closed, and if you don’t mind taking a drive, I have a tip for you: check out Hartford Giant Grinders in Niantic. It’s just a couple of tables and a tiny counter located off Hope Street. The bread is outrageously good and the vegetables are fresh as can be. The grinders, including my favorite, the tuna, remind me of the ones I used to get at the late, great Bennie’s. Put Hartford Grinders on your GPS’s “favorite,” and check it out someday.
