01/20/2021 11:01 PMSCORE of Southeastern Connecticut will host a free webinar on Marketing Fundamentals on Wednesday, Feb. 10 from 5 to 6 p.m. The interactive webinar is designed for individuals who do not have formal training in marketing and are interested in learning more about marketing, learning how to connect with their customers, and growing their business.
Topics will include what it takes to create customer engagement; how to define and refine key elements of the marketing strategy for a business; “must-haves” for an online presence; and time for questions and feedback.
Workshop presenter Margo Weitekamp has an extensive business background in marketing strategy, marketing research, new product development, and advertising. She has worked primarily in consumer goods for several major companies including BBDO, Procter & Gamble, and Johnson & Johnson. She has also owned her own marketing consulting business for several years. She currently volunteers her time to work with small businesses; she was the chapter chair for SCORE in Southeastern Connecticut from 2014-2020 and continues to mentor.
SCORE is a nonprofit association that offers free and confidential advice on starting a business or improving and growing an existing small business. SCORE’s nine counseling sites in Southeast Connecticut include Guilford, Madison, Old Saybrook, and Essex.
