Know How To Go: Understanding Your Public Transportation Options in 2021

A presentation and discussion about different transportation options along the shoreline of Connecticut will be presented by the Henry Carter Hull Library on Friday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m. It is free and open to all. Registration is required at hchlibrary.org/event/transportation or by emailing sarah@hchlibrary.org.

Know How to Go: Understanding Your Public Transportation Options in 2021 focuses on the fact that public transportation is for everyone, but many might not know what the options are in this area. This program will help participants learn about the types of transportation, pricing, schedules, discount programs, safety features, and accessibility options available in this area.

The talk is being offered by the library in collaboration transportation and accessibility experts from 9 Town Transit and The Kennedy Center. Options will be offered for families, commuters, seniors, Spanish-speaking riders, paratransit, and riders with service animals. Other topics will include scheduling a ride, plan a route, transfer between types of transportation, and even how to receive a $5 photo ID.

Guests will be able to submit questions during registration.
