This talk reflects on discovery and placemaking from Connecticut to Venice to Texas. Deaver’s award-winning work celebrates modesty, beauty, and meaning focusing on creating memorable places that respond to the local context with a commitment to minimal demands on the environment. Deaver’s work includes private residences, office buildings, theaters, arts and academic buildings, university housing, research laboratories, medical facilities, and recreational buildings.
