‘Give a Toy and Enjoy!’ Holiday Toy Drive

The Dance Corner of Killingworth and Anytime Fitness of North Madison are hosting a holiday toy drive at Anytime Fitness, 492-508 Old Toll Road, in North Madison on Sunday, Dec. 13 from noon to 4 p.m.

This drive-in toy drive will feature outdoor performances from The Dance Corner. The Dance Corner’s annual toy drive performance has become a holiday tradition on the shoreline.

Small, socially distanced performances from The Dance Corner will be featured outdoors in the Anytime Fitness parking lot throughout the afternoon. People are encouraged to drop off a toy donation and then watch some fun holiday song and dance from a safe distance.

There is no cost to attend, but everyone is encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or gift card to benefit local families with small children and teens who need a little help this year. The Madison Police Department will collect the donations and distribute them to various local charitable organizations.

“This event is very important to me because it’s about giving back to our community and spreading joy during this dark time. This year more than ever, families need support to make the holidays special for their kids,” says Carrie Smith, director of The Dance Corner.

The Dance Corner has been providing students from Killingworth, Madison, Clinton, Deep River, Chester, Essex, Ivoryton, Centerbrook, Haddam, Higganum, Westbrook, Guilford, and East Haddam with dance training for more than 20 years.
