Autumn Forest Bathing Walk at Young Preserve

The Lyme Land Trust (LLT) is offering an autumn forest bathing walk from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Young Preserve.

For parking,pull-in along the east side of Gungy Road, about a half mile north of Beaver Brook Road. See Lyme Corner Trails Preserve map at lymelandtrust.org.

The walk will be guided by Regan Stacey, a certified forest therapy guide. She will invite participants to connect with the soothing sounds of swishing laurel leaves, the smell of autumn earth, the changing colors of the season, and the feeling of dramatic rock outcroppings. The trail is easy to moderate.

The walk will conclude with a ceremonial tea for the land when we will honor Mother Earth and the time together.

The group is limited to six participants. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and masks must be worn to the parking lot meet-up.

Heavy rain cancels. If canceled, an email will go out two hours prior to the walk.

Folding stools are available or bring along your own stool or something else to sit on (towel, cloth, or mat) for the sitting sessions. You may also wish to bring some water. There are no restrooms at the Preserve.
