In the small community of Northumberland, England, Vera is on her way home during a snow storm when she comes across an abandoned car with its door open and a toddler strapped in the back. The mother turns up dead and thus begins Vera’s investigation into the murder. After reading this intriguing mystery, I’m looking forward to checking out the TV series on PBS.
