The Daughters of Erietown by Connie Schultz

This novel, one of my favorites of the year and a first for Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Connie Schultz, spans several generations with characters that are so real and captivating. The story begins in 1950s Ohio, and explores Kent State, equal rights, coming of age, love, hidden secrets (of course), and the importance of family and community. This is a hard one to put down and a great book club pick!
