The Madison Happiness Club will present Sanna Stanley on Awareness Heals: A talk and micro-movement explorations, on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. at Hubley Hall, next to the First Congregational Church, 26 Meeting House Lane, Madison.

This session will be an experiential introduction to the Feldenkrais Method, a way of thinking about health based on bringing attention to movement patterns that retrain the nervous system.

Stanley says the method can help deepen yoga practice or improve exercise routines, and help people feel more graceful and confident walking, working at the computer, and in other situations.

Stanley is a guild certified Feldenkrais practitioner, an author and illustrator, and the writer-in-residence at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital. She conducts multidisciplinary workshops throughout the state.

Stanley’s exploration in mind-body healing arts includes tai chi, shiatsu, pastoral counseling, and most recently a four-year training program in the Feldenkrais Method.

All are welcome, no reservations required. For more information, email Tina Garrity at ting45@aol.com.
