Essex Library Offers Session on How to Recognize and Avoid Scams

Consumers are faced with increasingly complex scams and schemes used to defraud millions of people each year. How do you know if an email is real or a fraud? What do you do if someone calls and asks for your personal information?

The Essex Library is planning a session on how to identify some common scams, including tips for spotting them. he talk will feature Connecticut Consumer Protection Department’s Catherine Blinder with an illustrated talk at the Essex Library, 33 West Avenue, Essex on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 11 a.m.
