Branford Compassion Club (BCC) Feline Rescue & Adoption Center is hosting two fundraisers to help keep the kitties warm and fed this winter.

The first is a food and supply drive on Saturday, Jan. 25, with a snow date of Saturday, Feb 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its shelter, located at 2037 Foxon Road, North Branford. The kitties’ wish list includes Purina Friskies Chicken or Turkey Pate, Blue Buffalo Healthy Gourmet Chicken or Turkey Pate for cats or kittens, Earthborn Feline Primitive dry cat food, and Yesterday’s News cat litter. For a complete wish list, visit www.branfordcompassionclub.org.

BCC’s second fundraiser, Hearts for Cats, runs during the entire month of February. With a donation of $25 or $50, donors can dedicate a heart on BCC’s Donor Wall Tree of Life. Pink hearts can be purchased with a $25 donation and red hearts with a $50. The name of a special person or pet will be inscribed on the pink or red heart painted on the donor wall tree. All donations will benefit the BCC homeless cats.

BCC also is in need of volunteers at the shelter to help feed, clean, and socialize its cats. There are immediate opening for morning and evening shifts. Volunteer application forms can be found on the website or made by calling 203-483-6369. Those interested can also stop by any Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
