Spectrum Art Gallery Says Let’s Celebrate

Spectrum Art Gallery and Artisan Store of Centerbrook kicks off the season with its 2019 holiday show, Let’s Celebrate! on Friday, Nov, 22 at 61 Main Street, Centerbrook.

There will be an opening reception, free and open to all, on Friday, Nov. 22 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. featuring wine, refreshments, and musician Kathy King on a 34-string acoustic lever harp.

Let’s Celebrate! showcases why and how people celebrate. Presented through a variety of mediums, the exhibit captures the joy and revelry of many of those important moments, including holidays, births and birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and celebrations of being alive and happy.

The seven-week run ends Sunday, Jan. 12.

Spectrum Gallery’s normal store hours are Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 6 p.m., and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. Starting on Wednesday, Dec. 4 and running through Monday, Dec. 23, the gallery will be open Monday through Saturday, noon to 6 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. The gallery will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Spectrum Gallery is an expansion of the non-profit Arts Center Killingworth, which organizes classes, workshops, and art camps and offers opportunities for emerging and established artists to develop, display, and sell their work.
