Scranton Memorial Library Offering NaNoWriMo Come Write In Location


The Scranton Memorial Library is offering a Come Write In location for National Novel Writing Month through Saturday, Nov. 30 at the library, 1250 Durham Road, Madison. National Novel Writing Month is an annual online creative writing challenge that takes place during November. More information about the challenge is available at www.nanowrimo.org. Participants are encouraged to complete a fiction manuscript by Nov. 30. No registration is required, and drop-ins are welcome.

There also will be an author talk and writing workshop on Thursday, Nov. 14 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. with Susan Strecker, held at the Madison House, 34 Wildwood Avenue Madison. The event is free and open to all adult patrons.

Strecker, an award-winning author, will talk about her newly published novel Drive. Afterward, she will lead an open writing workshop. Signed copies of Strecker’s book will be available for sale.
