Arts Trail Celebrates 19th Year on Connecticut Shoreline


The Shoreline Arts Trail’s 19th annual Open Studios Weekend offers access to 39 shoreline artists and 30 studios in Branford, Guilford, and Madison on Saturday, Nov. 16 and Sunday, Nov. 17.

The juried event will provide visitors with the opportunity to find out more about the artists’ mastery of methods and materials, their ideas, and their work in a range of media including jewelry, sculpture, fiber, paint, glass, pottery, metal, and textiles.

This year, the arts trail includes nine new member artists

• Guilford artist Sandra Christie (kaleidoscope),

• Branford artist Maryann Cook

(acrylics and multimedia),

• Branford artist Jane Crowley (stained glass),

• Guilford artist Deborah Greco (oil and pastel),

• Branford artist Linda Marino (oil and acrylic),

• Branford artist Marc Massaro

(oil, acrylic and sculpture),

• Guilford artist Susan Moore (acrylic and encaustic),

• Madison artist Janine Robertson (oil and aluminum on copper), and

• Guilford artist Dinah Wells (painter)

They will join returning artists Terry Bogan, Rebecca Bunting, Richard Carleton, Christine Chiocchio, Alice Chittenden, Anne Coffey, Margaret B. Dean, Laurie Douglas, Eileen Eder, Laurie Flaherty, Philip Goetz, Lisa Hess Hesselgrave, B. Joan Hickey, Kathleen Hoskins, Sharon Hosley, Melissa Imossi, Molly S. McDonald, Jackie McGuire, Robert Morris, Robert Parrott, Chris Penry, Steve Plaziak, Marta Resnikov Reisman, Susan Roberts, Barbara Shulman-Kirwin, Sandra Spahr, Catherine Steinberg, Sid Werthan, Maureen Wilkinson, and Diane Wright.

During Open Studios Weekend, the colorful yellow “Open Studio” signs point visitors to all of these artists and studios.
