Stargazing at Johnson Farm with the New Haven Astronomical Society

The New Haven Astronomical Society and the Essex Land Trust will host a stargazing event on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Johnson Farm, 77 Walnut Street, Ivoryton. The rain date of Sunday, Oct. 27.

The event will feature the late October skies during the new moon. Experts from the New Haven Astronomical Society will bring telescopes for participants to observe the stars, deep sky galaxies, nebula, different types of star clusters, different colored stars, and maybe even Saturn before it sets.

All ages are welcome.

The Astronomical Society of New Haven is a non-profit organization (501(c)) that participates in public and private outreach events throughout Connecticut. It supports educational programs at schools and museums by providing classroom assistance as well as viewing sessions with member scopes.
