The Madison Happiness club will present “Your Ageless Retirement Lifestyle” by Jeffrey Webber on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at Hubley Hall next to the First Congregational Church, 26 Meeting House Lane, Madison.

Webber says aging offers new opportunities for growth and development, additional chances to pursue happiness, and more time to live a better life.

“I see aging not as a decline in life, but rather as a way to continually grow. A mind-set that includes courage is important. Certainly, it is important to have a sense of purpose and positive self-image. The results can readily lead to an increase in optimism,” he says. “Try new things and develop new skills while exploring life’s possibilities. We are living longer, healthier lives so there is time.”

Suggestions will include how to become more invigorated, energized, and enlivened during your retirement years.

Webber is the author of six retirement lifestyle books. He was a public school educator for 33 years. He is passionate about living life to the fullest during his retirement years and says he has reinvented himself with an exhilarating perspective, after retiring at the age of 55, 18 years ago.

He and his wife have experienced firsthand many of his recommendations. He has been an avid RVer for 40 years, traveling around the country a number of times. He has volunteered for Heifer International. He and his wife are active tennis players, tandem bikers, ballroom dancers, avid pickleball players, hikers, and world travelers. He met his wife 50 years ago playing in a band, and they still play musical engagements with their band.

The meeting is free and open to all and no reservations required. For more information, email Tina Garrity at ting45@aol.com.
