Autumn Arts Festival Gallery Group Show Opens

Spectrum Gallery and Store, 61 Main Street, Centerbrook, is opening its Autumn Arts Festival Gallery Group Show with an opening reception, free and open to all, on Friday, Sept. 27 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The six-week exhibit will showcase select artworks by local and regional artists and fine artisans who also will be participating in the annual Autumn Arts Festival on the Madison Town Green, running Saturday, Oct. 12, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 13, noon to 5 p.m.

At the gallery, visitors will discover new and original photography; abstract and representational painting in oil, acrylic, and watercolor; mixed media; and one-of-a-kind fine crafts including pottery, ceramics, stoneware, stained glass, and a wide range of jewelry designs. The gallery group show runs through Sunday, Nov. 10 at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, which is open Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 6 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

The gallery is an expansion of the non-profit arts organization Arts Center Killingworth, which offers classes, workshops, and camps, and whose mission is to provide opportunities for emerging and established artists to develop, display, and sell their work.
