While most area residents have been focused on the end of summer, the Senior Crafters and Knitters at the Guilford Community Center have been hard at work on the annual craft and holiday fair scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the community center, 32 Church Street, Guilford.

Every year, the seniors try to outdo themselves creating newer and more beautiful items and gifts.

There will be decorations for inside and outside the home, along with items for family, friends, and pets, too.

There will be gently used jewelry, a chance-raffle, hand-made knitted and sewn items, a 50/50 raffle, delicious baked goods, books (novels, children’s and cook books, fill a bag for $5), wreaths, small trees, and other holiday decorations, large and small.

Breakfast and lunch will be available and prepared by the senior kitchen staff at a reasonable price.

Everyone is invited to do some early holiday and gift shopping. Children are welcome to do their shopping, also.

There will also be independent vendors participating, and tables will be available for $35. More information about the fair is available from Terry Buckley at 203-453-8068.
