The third annual Open Hearts Yoga and Arts Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24 on the Branford Town Green.

The event will include free yoga and wellness classes as well as art tents for both children and adults. Additional activities for kids will include scavenger hunts and hula hooping.

Musical acts will perform throughout the day. A vendors’ village will feature local artists and craftspeople selling jewelry, textiles, clothing, paintings, photographs, and other items.

“The intention of this festival is to bring people together to enjoy practices that instill peace and to celebrate creativity,” said Sal Annunziato, one of the event’s organizers. “We also want to connect people with individuals and products that can help them achieve peace and wellness.”

The featured musical artist will be DJ Mata, who performs kirtan, a South Asian musical style. Her performance is free and begins at 6 p.m.

OHYA is a non-profit event organized by Raven’s Wing Yoga and the Love Tribe Center, with proceeds benefiting the Branford Counseling Center and the Community Dining Room.
