The Guilford Art League’s Summer 2019 Member Show is on view through Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Guilford Community Center’s Menunkatuck Room (second floor), 32 Church Street, Guilford.

“We’re pleased to announce our first summer show,” said Guilford Art League President Sheila Kaczmarek. “So look for our members’ work year-round now at the community center—three-month-long shows in the winter, spring, summer, and fall. And don’t miss our members’ exhibits on the Guilford Green during Craft Expo, [Friday to Sunday,] July 19 to 21.”

The current summer show includes 38 artworks, almost all of which are for sale, with prices ranging from $75 to $850. They include oil and acrylic paintings, pastels, pen and ink drawings, watercolors, collages, and wood construction.

The artists are Pat Anderson, Jay Babina, Sister Joan Bernard, Claudia Barbee, Denise Casey, Marge Casey, Dick Christofferson, Sheila Creed, Jim Durkin, Virginia S. Foster, Debbie Greco, Arthur Guagliumi, Mary Lou Horan, Sandra Kensler, Suzanne Kriger, Thomas G. Mayer, Joanne McCarty, Patricia Seekamp, William Seekamp, Phil Statlender, John R. Tubb, Marja Watson, and Karen L. Wiesner.

The league currently has approximately 200 members, most from shoreline communities, although any Connecticut resident is welcome to join. For information about becoming a member, visit www.guilfordartleague.org. To purchase a work of art from this exhibit, contact Anne Coffey at 203-490-8369 or acoffey30@sbcglobal.net.
