06/13/2019 12:01 AMA longtime dark sky advocate, Bob Crelin, will give a talk on starry skies at night and a sustainable Guilford on Wednesday, June 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Guilford Free Library, 6 Park Street, Guilford.
The discussion will explore how lighting at night affects natural bio-rhythms and can be used more responsibly, effectively, and energy efficiently; how indiscreet use of night lighting disconnects society from the natural nocturnal environment; and how night lighting started and evolved.
Crelin is the author of the children’s book There Once Was a Sky Full of Stars, and a Walter Scott Houston Award winner for his work changing policy and perceptions
